About Us
We are a new entertainment media group at Cumberland University called Entertainment Art Organization. Our group is designed to promote the interest of the art inside entertainment, the culture of its creation and foster local discussion.
Started by Skylar Stone in 2012 under the advisement of former professor Chase Gamblin, EAO became Cumberland University's first interest based student organization. EAO also started JABEcon a yearly collection of panels, workshops, and guests about entertainment which was hosted by EAO and at Cumberland University until 2016.
EAO took over the Cumberland University staple event Fall Fun Fest from the Teacher and Education Group on campus in October 2013. In January of 2013 EAO Presidents and founder, Skylar and Javin Stone, re-branded and remade the formally debunked student Radio Station WFMQ 91.5 FM The Phoenix.
The group has won the "Best New Kid on the Block" Award in 2012, "Best Community Event: Fall Fun Fest" in 2014, "Best Student Organization" in 2014, and "Best Community Event: JABEcon" in 2015.
